US HEART THROB JESSIE PAVELKA JOINS UK OBESITY SUPPORT ORGANISATION AS PATRON
Presenter of Sky 1 A Year to Save my Life supports HOOP UK (Help Overcoming Obesity Problems)
Presenter and fitness expert Jessie Pavelka will soon be on UK screens with Series 2 of Sky TV’s, A Year to Save my Life. He is currently in London working on the new series, but on Saturday 8th December he will be meeting a group of Jessie Pavelka fans called The Jessabelles. The meet and greet has raised £2700 for new obesity support organisation HOOP UK Ltd of which Pavelka is a Patron.
I have dedicated a lot of my working life to helping and educating people who are struggling with obesity issues. I wanted to help HOOP as it is an organisation which is taking action to help young people who are overweight and their parents. Obesity is a massive problem on both sides of the Atlantic so it was a natural step for me to support HOOP.
Pavelka, 30, from Texas, offered a meet and greet session in order to raise money for HOOP which is a not for profit company that set up in June this year providing support to those struggling with weight issues. His involvement has meant that HOOP now has the funds needed to apply for charitable status.
Director Jill Tipping said:
It means a huge amount to us that Jessie has agreed to come on board as a Patron. As a fledgling organisation it means we can move on quickly and start to increase the help and support for youngsters and their parents who’s lives are blighted with obesity. We are all looking forward to the meet and greet next Saturday with The Jessabelles. There are 15 of them so it should be quite an occasion.
A Year to Save my Life follows contributors in the UK over the period of a year as they work with Jessie on healthy eating programmes and specifically designed exercise routines in order to steadily loose the weight they need to lead healthy lifestyles.
The series will be shown in the new year on Sky 1.
