HOOP UK trustee, Professor Paul Gately, is to attempt one of the toughest endurance challenges in the UK later this year in order to raise funds for HOOP UK.
The Bob Graham Round is a 72-mile circuit of 42 fells in the Lake District, including the 3,000-foot peaks of Skiddaw, Helvellyn, and Scafell Pike. Participants aim to complete the entire challenge in under 24 hours.
Paul says “The Bob Graham Round is the toughest challenge I’ve ever set myself, but it’s well worth it to raise funds for such an important cause. It seems fitting that I should push myself to my limits in order to help children push theirs, and overcome their greatest life challenge.”
Paul hopes to raise a huge £100,000 to help young people and their families in their fight against obesity. DONATE TO PAUL’S JUST GIVING PAGE HERE
